Rental Policies And Procedures
Welcome! Please read the following policies and procedures. These are structured to make your vacation with us a great experience.
RESERVATIONS: Reservation information is available by phone. Please call (910)458-4028 locally or 1-800-327-5863 from 9 A.M - 5 P.M. Monday-Friday and 9-6 p.m. on Saturday (IN SEASON). An advanced rental payment of $500/per week MUST be received within 7 days of making a reservation. An emailed confirmation will be sent upon receipt of your advanced rental payment & signed VRA contract, which can be signed digitally online, with your Guest ID login info that is on the Confirmation. Rental payment may be made by money order, certified bank funds, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, personal check or on our site, with your Guest ID. YOUR BALANCE WILL BE DUE NO LATER THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL DATE.
RESERVATION FEE: A $40 administrative fee is added to every reservation.
CHECK-IN TIME: After 4 p.m., IN SEASON (arrangements for late key can be made).
CHECK-OUT TIME: Before 11 a.m. NO EXCEPTIONS!
DEPARTURE CLEANING: DEPARTURE MAID SERVICE IS INCLUDED WITH ALL RENTALS. You are to take out the trash and leave dishes clean & property neat. Please remember to check for all personal items before turning your keys in.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: All properties are privately owned. A $100-$200 damage deposit is required on all reservations. Refund of deposit sent 30 days after checkout, provided keys are returned to our office by 11 a.m., property is left in good condition and the inventory is intact. The guest will be liable for any damages or breakage in excess of this amount, and for missing items. Deposits are not returned on departure.
LINEN RENTAL: Linens (sheets and towels) are available upon request. Please contact Maid2Clean Linen Service at 910-520-2983 or TBW's Beach Rentals at 910-297-1024. Mattress pads, pillows, blankets and comforters are furnished in the rental property.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: As indicated per property by State Law. Violators are subject to eviction without refund. Rental agents check the properties.
PETS: Unless otherwise described as pet friendly, no pets are allowed on the property. Violation will result in immediate rental termination without refund. Inquire about independent pet sitting and let your baby have a vacation too!
AGE RESTRICTIONS: To ensure a family atmosphere, guests must be 25 years of age or accompanied by a parent. HOUSE PARTIES ARE NOT ALLOWED. Bullard Realty, Inc., has the right to terminate rental, without refund, if, in our opinion, the renter is detrimental to the property.
CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS: No refunds due to cancellation unless the property is re-rented in full. If we re-rent the property, your advanced payment, less a $100 cancellation fee will be returned to you. YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY REIMBURSEMENT OF DEPOSIT IF THE PROPERTY IS NOT RE-RENTED FOR THE EXACT TIME PERIOD. We reserve the right to transfer your reservation to another property should the property you have chosen become unavailable.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel Guard Protect Assist Insurance offers travel insurance. It is your responsibility to contact the insurance agent, if you wish to acquire insurance. In case of unforeseen events this travel insurance helps protect your vacation investment. If you choose not to purchase this coverage, no refund will be given in the event of unforeseeable cancellations including hurricane evacuations. Travel insurance cannot be purchased after your final balance is paid. Website available at www.pleasureislandinsurance.com
NC TAX: A 13% tax is added to all rentals of 90 days or less (7% state sales tax and 6% accommodations tax) on Carolina and Kure Beach properties. Subject to change according to law.
LOCKOUTS: Please be responsible for property keys. If you are locked out during office hours, a key will be provided for you, with proof of proper identification. If you are locked out after office hours, there will be a $35 (cash) lockout fee collected at time of lockout.
SMOKE DETECTORS: For your protection, smoke detectors are provided in each rental property. Please check smoke detectors immediately after checking in and report non-working detectors to the rental office. Battery replacement for detectors are the responsibility of the tenant.
PARKING: Two car limit per property. Parking of boats, trailers and RVs is restricted. TOWING ENFORCED! If you need extra parking, contact our office.
INTERNET: All properties have high speed internet.
DISCLOSURE: We are the agents of the various owners and their properties, obligated to work in the best interests of the owners while treating our rental guests honestly.
